"Really liked our stay at Star Shell. The staff are excellent and super helpful. We were travelling with two young kids and honestly their service and friendliness really made our trip so much easier. We were always helped with our luggage without asking and with no expectation of a tip. I would highly recommend using theit airport service. "Good: Comfortable bed, helpful and kind staff, all advertised amenities and more (a plug converter), good signage, close to shops. Not that good: The sprayers of the soap and shampoo bottles were too tight, not suitable for those liquids. The room smells humid when no air-conditioning, location is far from jetties, but as Male is a small island, it's not that big of a deal."

Única coisa que poderia ter no quarto é uma cortina de banheiro ou box para evitar que a água espalhe por todo o local! No mais, vale a pena, sendo que o hotel está próximo de tudo, inclusive da praia de biquíni e de restaurantes e locais de passeios. "

"Good staff with clean hotel "

"The kindness of staff is as unlimited as coffee and tea on the 2nd floor. The guy from reception helped us with luggage on the way to the hotel and also back. They provided snorkel equipment for free. Breakfast is very tasty, espiecialy maledivian one. Room is clean and spacious enough, one disadvantage is that we didn't have window and maybe that's why you can feel excess humidity. "

"Possitive: Value for money, good location, quite area, good sea view from our room, staff are very helpfull and kind, free pickup/drop off from/to the ship port, very clean, free usage of sea towels, 24/7 reception,shops near the hotel. Negative: Wifi have very bad signal and is very slow, poor breakfast, mosque is behind the hotel, no elevator in the hotel We had a very good stay in Velana hotel. I suggest the hotel."
