That said, the staff did agree to wait for us when we called to ask about checking in at 10:30 PM."

"Like others who have reviewed Old Age, we found the food to be outstanding. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was always the same, with a nice salad, soup, and very good sausage. The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious. Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan before and have been making three week trips annually for the past 20 years. Nevertheless we loved Old Age and are recommending it to our friends. "

"There are a lot of clutter in the hotel lobby, which makes it feel messy. The hotel looks a bit old, though it is clean. I arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock at night. When I entered the door, I couldn't see the check-in counter. I went to a counter on the right. There was a card showing “ 百名湯認定証 ”, and add water room “加湯室” was behind the counter. I was about to search everywhere I could in the hotel, when suddenly I saw a man at the far end of the left side, so I chased after him and asked if he was a hotel staff. It turned out that the checkin counter was on the left, and I turned the wrong direction and went to the right. I was indeed frightened at that time when I couldn’t see anybody.
