Gammalt hotell som behöver renovering. Trasig AC, sliten inredning och konstig lukt. Trevlig personal som gjorde vad de kunde men hade inte så mycket att jobba med. Mindre bra område.

Most ridiculous place to stay. The room was not clean. It had quite a few spiders, spider webs and other bugs which were visible everywhere in the room and restroom. The room was too hot and didn't have working fan. I had a baby with me which hotel staff knew before we checked in. Initially we were forced to wait by hotel staff, hotel staff told us that Expedia has cancelled our rooms and they need to check before providing us rooms. we waited for more than 30 minutes and then they gave these unhygienic rooms which were really hot and with no working fan.When we asked about the fan to the staff, she said they can’t provide anything, we need to live with whats in the room. We came from Paihia and planned to rest in Kaitia so that we can visit Cap Reinga the next morning, but we couldn’t because of the rooms and service provided which made our trip miserable. I have been advised by friends that even if I give this information through feedback, expedia will not even bother about it as they have got their money. But I still thought to give my feedback as the stay at this hotel still haunts me, how can someone give such rooms and service to visitors.

Got there for 2 o'clock check in as per confirmation email to be told it was 4 o'clock so had to hang around for 2 hours. Link to the hotel states restaurant/bar but there wasn't. Spent 1st of 2 nights in an awful room with a double bed not king as sold. No air-conditioning.....which should have been included....smelt like it hadn't been used for ages. Caroline moved us for the 2nd night to a better room more like what we booked. Whole hotel old and extremely dated. Hotel explained that it is Expedia's fault that the information wasn't correct. Said the website hadn't been updated since 2008 when the advertised facilities were actually available.

Big hotel, last stayed there in the nineties. Like stepping back into a time warp, seventies decor, with furnishings that were very tired (could be a retro hunters dream!). Gardens needing a major overhaul, very run down., and retaining wall in car park on a dangerous lean in some places. Reception staff quite passive but helpful, duty allocation had seen them on deck for long periods at new year. No restaurant or bar service available, told that the place has just been taken over by new owners, and soon getting its upgrade.I hope this place will be restored to its former glory.

Hotel had hard beds with stain linen, very very old in the worst accommodation we have ever stay in, we actually own a 5 star resort in Rarotonga and had been staying there prior, think that ruined us. Staff lovely.

A quick and easy checkin with friendly staff. The room had A/C which was nice to relax in. The hotel is located between the supermarket (10 min walk) and town (15 min walk). We loved our stay. :)
