The motel is average at best. Check in was good and the gentleman at the desk was lovely - and that’s where the good parts stopped. They lure you in with the glamorized photos of the river - which looks so dirty. The wood pulp mill is spewing out something that smells like sewage - so until the winds change it it gets later into the evening, you can’t sit on your balcony because of the smell. I paid $250 for one night in Kamloops to sit on a balcony near a ‘beautiful river’ which we couldn’t do. The noise of the air conditioner outside is also a deterrent. The dining room is so small and missing allot of chairs, most people couldn’t sit down, people standing with plates eventually had to take their breakfast back to their rooms. Breakfast was poor - usual cereal, bagels and English muffins, fake omelets (that didn’t come out till e were done eating. Sausages were cold and obviously poor quality. There were apples and oranges but no baked goods or yogurt. Coffee was coloured water. My kids couldn’t drink the ‘apple juice’ - the server was most unfriendly. it was very disappointing overall and I would not ever come back. We booked with Expedia - the site can’t do anything to compensate us but I’ll be checking with Expedia. This one is a 1 out of 10
