"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice -buffet or the a la cart menu-. Pool towels available and the attendant keeps the pool side nice a clean, especially with his endless battle with cleaning fallen leaves up. Bar staff were very friendly...

"The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. "The other corner is a nice place to stay when going to Sigiriya. It feels a bit like a calm oasis. The personnel was really helpful and booked a driver to Sigiriya and Kandy the day after. The latter seemed to be by some deal with a spice garden where the hotels driver were really insistent on us stopping by. It was a nice experience, but got us a bit late for our train. The dinner was nice and the breakfast ok. The rooms were in these cool hut-houses and the insides were fresh."

"We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and efficient. Word of warning though - we wished we had checked Uber before arranging a taxi to our next destination.
