"The breakfast was excellent the staff went out if their way to ensure I had everything I needed. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the staff even though were run off their feet found time to chat and engage with all customers at breakfast."

"Pool/sauna facilities over crowded. Extortionate bar fees. Conflicting information about availability of food at the bar, one member of staff said we could order up until 9pm, another said we couldn't order 'because there was a party of 40 in'. Very tight parking spaces. It was clean and tidy but no better than a Premier Inn because we were unable to use the pool and sauna facilities, which were the reason for booking this particular hotel. Would not book again."

"Location is great for us. We stayed in Room 3 in the courtyard as we had a small dog with us and they are not allowed in the Main Hotel rooms. We have stayed in this room before - its an excellent size but on the first floor. It seems to have been modernised from when we were last there which was nice. We didn't have breakfast or evening meal there as it is "hotel prices". Within walking distance of the hotel is one of the best pubs in Derbyshire - The Hollybush Inn - great beer and grub."
