Staff was friendly and the restaurant‘s food was amazing. It was a little confusing when we checked in because our room was in a different building down the street and we had to haul our luggage up two flights of stairs into our room. The room does not have AC and the sleeping in the heat was very uncomfortable.

Leider kein guter Eindruck in allen Bereichen, das Zimmer war in den 70-ern Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts stehen geblieben, Beleuchtung ganz schlecht im Bad wie im Zimmer, Bodenbelag grausam, Zimmer unterm Dach ohne ausreichende DurchlĂŒftung, FrĂŒhstĂŒck im Speisesaal Ă€hnlichem Bereich, ca 70 PlĂ€tze und 2 ungelernte ServicekrĂ€fte, weder Tische sauber, noch das Buffet aufgefĂŒllt und ordentlich ! Leider nur ein mangelhaft fĂŒr diese location.

Personne Ă  la rĂ©ception accueillante. L'hĂŽtel est assez bien situĂ© mais partagĂ© sur 4 sites. Je suis déçue car bien que la chambre semble agrĂ©able Ă  premiĂšre vue, la dĂ©ception fut Ă©norme au moment de se coucher. Le lit double est composĂ© de 2 matelas individuels, un Ă©tait correct, l'autre horrible ! J'ai dormi 2h sur ce matelas dans lequel on s'enfonçait littĂ©ralement, des carbatures de partout Ă  1h du matin et on a fini Ă  deux sur un matelas de 90cm de large. Nuit sans aucun repos. Bien cher payĂ© pour au final ne pas dormir. Je ne recommande donc pas cet hĂŽtel. De plus, le lendemain, pour rendre la clĂ©, l'attente Ă  la rĂ©ception Ă©tait longue... Entre ceux qui souhaitaient simplement rendre la clĂ© et les autres qui rĂ©cupĂ©raient du vin en mĂȘme temps, c'Ă©tait vraiment long et frustrant quand on a un planning de prĂ©vu.

Trevligt hotell

Vi bodde inte i huvudbyggnaden utan i ett hus bredvid dÀr Àven frukosten var. God frukost. Inte jÀttemycket att vÀlja pÄ men det rÀckte och var gott. HjÀlpsam dam i incheckningen. Mycket ljud frÄn tÄgen som gick ofta pÄ andra sidan Rhen men tack och lov inte pÄ natten (eller hörde dem inte i alla fall). Ganska hÄrda sÀngar dÄ bÀddmadrass alltid saknas. Vi skulle Àta pÄ hotellet nÀr vi kom tillbaka och köket stÀngde tydligen 2000 men de var snÀlla och stÀllde upp och gjorde mat fast vi kom ca 20.30.

Vi valgte hotellet pÄ grund af dens placering tÊt ved floden. Vort vÊrelse var rent og nyt, men uden balkon. Sengene var stÞjende og blev ikke fikset trods anmodning. Der manglede lys over skrivebordet. Vi bestiller aldrig igen et vÊrelse uden air con. NÊtterne var ulidelige. (HedebÞlge). SÄ er der kamp om p-pladserne. Der er for mange biler og for fÄ pladser. Havde gerne set noget info og gerne pÄ engelsk pÄ vÊrelset. Der blev gjort vÊrelser rene. Kunne anmode om nye hÄndklÊder. Det er ikke altid nemt at forstÄ folk gennem Corona masken. Men flinkt og hjÊlpsomt personale. Hvis man ikke vil spise pÄ hotellet skal man kÞre til nabobyerne. Denne by er meget stille. Wi-Fi virkede fint.

My Place on the Rhine

This was our third time to stay at the Hotel & Restaurant Krone in Kestert and we have always been treated like family (the good side). We love relaxing in this little village on the Rhine River and watching the barges go by. The food has improved since our last visit and everything we tried this time was delicious. The beer wasn’t bad either.

Lovely place to stay on the Rhine

We were greeted by Mareen who was very helpful throughout. Relaxed atmosphere and nice surroundings. We had a top floor room overlooking the Rhine which was lovely. Good continental breakfast and the option for the half board menu which was reasonably priced. We ate in a few times and the food was very good. Must recommend the beef goulash with dumplings. The room was clean and tidy and whilst small it adequately caters for the need of the tourist. Andreas was a lovely guy who speaks very good English and was always helpful and willing to assist. Would definitely stay again!
