very grateful that we were able to get the last room with two beds on short notice. the gentleman at the front told me that the room we were getting was renovated. went to the room and at first the smell in the room did not bother me, but during the night if just became overwhelming, it smelled as though the paint had not dried. the air conditioner was making a very loud and dingy sound so i had to turn it off. when i went to call the front desk, there was no phone in the room. so i had to call from my cellphone, when i explained to the front desk person, he wanted to give me a refund quickly, he did offer to get me a fan so i can sleep, he stated that the reason why there were no phones in the room is because that's how all hotels are going to be doing. I told him i did not want a refund because at 1:30 AM and after driving for two and a half days, we were not going to find another hotel and i wasn't going to wake up my husband, who is a disabled vet, get up and search for another hotel, when the one i was in was paid for, so i took the fan, but it was sad that he just wanted me to go away instead of trying to fix the problems.
