Great resort and facilities, exactly what we needed

Nice Hotel with great view, very clean with very friendly staff. It's great to watch the sunset from your spacious terrace or from the Restaurant at the top of the hill. The hotel has two swimming pools, two restaurants and a tropical garden. From the top of the hill to the privat beach you can use the hotel cable car. Shantaa is the most peaceful place i have been in thailand - its very private and even when the resort is fully booked it seems like there is four of five times more space than required. This makes it very special and magical - the staff are excellent and the food is also great ! Beds are super comfortable and the servive is perfect . Shantaa is a perfect place for people who are looking to escape life and find true tranquility for a moment - be careful though you might never want to leave !!

Beautiful location with an exclusive feel. Bungalow 5 offered a fantastic vista. Everybody working on site was happy, welcoming and friendly (including Coco, Oreo, Lazy and Day the dogs (maybe that's just Thailand)). The breakfast was lovely, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had! We visited with our 2 children aged 2 and 7 months, initially for 1 week. The rooms are big and well kept, the swimming pool is huge and the added bonus of a children's play area which was air conditioned. Breakfast was fine, typical of most 4 star hotels in Thailand. The staff were great and really made our stay memorable; especially Katie, Wanisa, Jenny. We loved our stay here, so much so we extended for an additional 4 nights. We look forward to returning in future.

The sea view villas are very quiet and private, though the sea view is somewhat blocked by trees, and there is no sand so don't expect a beach view. Still a pretty setting beside the ocean, nice for relaxing. Minimalistic style rooms, well layed out and have everything you need. Excellent service, especially in the restaurant and the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend, especially for couples.

We stayed at Gajapuri for just under two weeks. It's an amazing place and the staff are fantastic! We will definitely be going again.

We really loved this place, the individual villas are fantastic and comfortable, the pool area and bar/restaurant are also great. Fantastic massages at reasonable prices are also onsite, with the sea in the background it makes for an amazingly relaxing experience. Add to this a private beach with complimentary paddle board and kayak hire there wasn't any more we needed. Like everywhere in Thailand this hotel suffered from being overstaffed, more people does not mean an improved service and often...

The staff were welcoming and always smiling and polite. We had a room with direct access to the pool which was fantastic and used every morning for a pre breakfast swim. The hotel was immaculate with staff discreetly cleaning and repairing at all points during the day.

Great stay at the Mercure, if you're looking for a relaxed, quiet and peaceful environment, this is your place. Rooms are large, bright and support clean. Staff is very welcoming, helpful and polite from the receptionists to the cleaners all the way to the parking attendant. There are two pools, we booked a room with terasse giving into a "private" mini pool going into a bigger pool. Extremely pleasant to have this literally at your door step. A good hotel that won't disappoint in a secluded location on a quiet paradise island. The rooms are finished to a high standard. To explore the island we definitely recommend taking the scooters We had the family villa with 5 adults. The extra bed was a mattress on the floor. A better extra bed, maybe a rollaway bed would be appreciated. Also the housekeeping staff did not make this bed each day which was strange.

We stayed in a room that opened out at the back onto a small terrace which was right on Kai Bai beech. The resort seems to be recently built and everything is very clean and new. The prices are very reasonable and I would class it as more of a 4 star resort than the specified 3! Generally very happy with everything about this place. The sunsets and baby elephants which are brought to the beach to bath are fantastic.

Over the past decade we have stayed in dozens hotels and resorts in Thailand but this place stands out for cleanliness and how helpful and friendly every single staff member has been during our stay. The pool and beach are being kept immaculately clean, there is free use of paddle boards and beach chairs and for a fee you can get a massage on the beach. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of Thai and western dishes and again was fantastically clean with the staff dealing with anything...

Staff at Hotel and restaurant all very friendly and helpful, they are great to my Children who class them all as friends. I have been going their for several years now and go several times each year and go even more now I have retired and will continue to do so. Room service very good and you can have food delivered to your room.
