"Dirty carpets, hidden resort fees which are not shown in advance. Terrible in room coffee. Strange secretive check in procedures , where the receptionist disappeared for a long time, making us wait after a long drive. I would not stay here again. The pillows were like stones. A very weird table like a miniature horse which cuts into your legs.But, my wife and I really liked the the Friday restaurant on the 1

"Wonderful stay. Tahoe is an exceptional destination.
Pros: Clean, roomy suite, nice view. Decent food. Nice staff. Prompt valet for luggage. Fairly quiet. Beautiful pool/spa setting. Very private blocking out the wind. Nice complimentary water bottles to drink from the whole stay and take home. Nice refrigerator. Great comfortable King bed. Good pillows and towels. Good food in available restaurants. "The property is still under construction. There was some confusion with the front desk staff with instructions on how to get to the room when the elevators were under construction. You would think the front desk staff would be able to give clear instructions based on the construction situation. "Loved the location! It was right across from the lake! The hotel was okay, no frills but the rooms were very clean! The property itself is old and could use a little TLC.

"Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. "

"Pros: We like the room layout with a separate sitting area that has a day bed. It was a comfortable room, very comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: bathroom door squeaked loudly- so we left it wide open to avoid waking everyone when using the bathroom at night. The shower floor was quite slippery, we were scared of slipping/falling...we had to be very cautious getting in and out of the shower. Shower edges did not look very clean otherwise everything else was clean.
