Staying in a hotel in the mountains above Chamonix, accessible only by a quaint train (30 minutes) where you can go on incredible hikes or just relax on the patio and stare at the glorious mountains... well, it doesn't get better than that. Clean rooms, great service, really good breakfast, great staff, and a great floor show. The bar was a fun scene. Dated rooms with funky lighting.
