The property is lovely with a traditional look but modern amenities. The room was huge with lovely furnishings and a good shower. Breakfast was good too with a buffet offering English and continental options.

Very nice staff, helpful and welcoming making for a very pleasant stay. Lovely breakfast, coffee and food options. The double room was large and had a comfortable bed. The shower was great and the bathroom very clean. Great place to stay.

Lovely clean and friendly

Even though they were clearly having major refurbishment works, the surroundings were lovely. Clean and lovely aroma as we came in. Calm and enjoyable.

Malcom the night Audit receptionist was excellent he moved me to a lovely room and fulfilled my request. If not i would have been very dissatisfied with the first room i was given. There are 3 things that must be placed in the room one is a fridge and the other is a toilet cleaning brush and a stand to put your suite case onto....other then this the breakfast was so delish and the staff in the restaurant did an excellent job. Thank you for making my stay a good one MALCOM especially 🇬🇷💙🏖🖐

We had a two night stay. Nice room, comfortable bed, large bathroom, tea and coffee making facility. Eight of us for a meal in the restaurant. Food and service excellent. Drinks in the bar/lounge before and after the meal. I would have scored 5 stars but for our card keys not working on the second day, dirty cup left in the room after cleaning and not replaced and refurbishment limiting access through the hotel from room to reception, bar and restaurant.

A charming, well-run hotel in a peacfeul setting. My room was impressively large, a very big bed and was immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was a full variety and delicious.

Only a one night stay to attend a Wedding. The staff were all welcoming and informative. The room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast choice was excellent. The hotel is looking a little tired decoration wise in the 'common areas'. A real value for money hotel, its not five star but then I didn't pay a five star price and so shouldn't expect it.

No internet, outdated furniture… Felt like I took a step back into the 80s. Paid for luxury but met the level of a budget hotel. On the plus side, they have lovely, helpful staff… Would I book again? NEVER!!

Lovely hotel would stay again

The lady on reception upgraded me to a King room from a Queen. Very friendly, arranged a taxi for me, as due to the local council Uber's don't go from there. Room service was good, food lovely. Breakfast, great selection & the lady & gentleman there today were very welcoming. The gentleman in a very smart suit was old school, I hope he doesn't mind me saying that but he was full of the traditional values of the hotel, he has worked there for 40 years. Will be back thank you.

Needs updating

The staff are wonderful, with just one little niggle. The lady in charge of breakfast clears your table when you get up to get anything else. The overall cleanliness was good but the hotel desperately needs money spending on it. Rotten window frames and loose toilet roll holder was just 2 things that needed fixing in my room. The reception staff were great and for that reason I would use it again.

For the price, I felt that the room was not as good as I would have liked. Wi-fi poor, or non existent. None in the room, even though they say that they have fast wi-fi. Room was clean as was the hotel Breakfast, whilst plentiful and looked reasonable was tasteless. I felt that the bar was expensive. A small bottle of water about £4. I did not see what I was getting extra to a premier inn which which would have cost less.

Four Star, maybe if I had electric!!

Comfy bed, clean enough. Woke up to no electric in my room at all. Couldn’t phone reception as the telephones are powered. Got dressed by torch and could not use any of my room facilities, told reception who already knew about a power fault and there was not a hint of a refund or gesture of good will. Unfortunately I was there on business and didn’t have the time to argue as I was already late from the pitch black fun and games.
