"Room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly. Perfect locale for catbells with nice country pub down the road less than 5 minutes away and close to the lake. Breakfast was definitely worth it. Enjoyed my stay."

"We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended. "

The breakfast was wonderful; the new coffee machine and coffee helped us recover from jetlag; the walking distance to downtown on lightly trafficked roads allowed us to walk down to our reservations in town. "The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The room had a GHD hairdryer, a good selection of tea and cofees. Communal areas were spotless and nicely decorated. We had a a good stay. The one small gripe was the cooked breakfast. Sausages and tomatoes were undercooked, it came with toasted sourdough but, it needed a softer bread. Especially as no baked beans allowed. I omitted a few things such as black pudding, egg and mushrooms. What was served wasn't increased to compensate. I...
