"Good location on outskirts of the city."

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Couldn't wish for a better welcome, hosts were exactly my cuppa - laid back and relaxed at all times. Looked after well before I even got to the site and enjoyed an unexpected upgrade. Very decent breakfast to set me up also. Hope to stay there again soon!"

"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"Beautiful pub with rooms and staff were outstanding. Our rooms were really well appointed and clean. The food was good but we were a little underwhelmed with our meals. Salmon main dish was dripping in very salty miso and soy sauce. Restaurant was v busy and we were advised that there could be a wait for food. Breakfasts were fantastic though we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food on the second morning. Only one person serving and one chef creates quite a problem! All in all we...

"The location to the airport was amazing. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and walked back to the airport to catch our flight. Seamless! Bonus that the property was beautifully maintained."

"Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted. Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast. Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money. Maybe this could be highlighted more."

"We arrived after a little Ng flight delay. Our journey was arduous . . It was 2.,00 a.m When we got there. Someone was on reception. But no welcome or bottled water offered. We were given this when spending a night earlier in the week. The aeroplane had no water either. !! So the stay was ok... comfortable bed then we checked out wanting to get home."

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"
