"The hotel was nothing like the photos online. The blue sofa and other stylish furniture shown in the listing were nowhere to be found. Instead, the lobby looked shabby, and the rooms were no better. There was visible dust throughout, and I took photos to document it. I also noticed grimy handprints on the sides of the furniture. The room smelled awful because of whatever heavily scented product had been used on the carpet. The odor was strong, chemical, and perfume-like. It gave me a headache...

"The property was in great condition. The rooms were clean and the staff especially house keeping was excellent. They came around everyday to give you towels and to ask if you needed your room clean. You don’t get that everywhere. I even extended my stay. Overall it was great."

"One of the best home2 by hilton hotels. The receptionist were very polite and professional ( big thank you to Zaheerah). The rooms were very spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. There are shuttles and parking available to take care of your car untill you are back."

"Cracks and flakes above my bed and in the bathroom ceiling. View of the pool, that was not in use understandably was bad. Leaves all in the pool area, was not inviting to sit outside because of how it looked. Free breakfast was a joke, all of the juice in the juice machine was out. Coffee was sub, and the pancake machine was down and appeared to have been down for a while. Helpful if staff could speak English and answer questions if you have a question. I would not recommend this hotel. Only...

"Overall, the hotel was OK. Room size was alright for king bed and sofa bed. Light over toilet in bathroom was burned out, and TV didn't work. Bathtub had some damage on the outside, and wallpaper in bathroom was peeling. It was nice to have a bar and a breakfast counter in the lobby, but the bartender was suited more to opening beers than mixing drinks. Check-in/out and other staff were courteous, and parking lot offered reasonable access to the entrance. It wasn't an exceptional experience, but...

"As far as hotel rooms go this one was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! Very well appointed , spotless, and had everything you need for a comfy stay. Lots of hooks to hang things, a comfy bed, a magnifying mirror and a great layout. "

"The location was good. Most staff members were nice and helpful. I didn’t get the chance to swim in the pool. There were too many children during all hours of operation, There should be adult hours and children hours which would help everyone to enjoy the pool. Also I was charged $30 to park in the parking lot, which I found that was a ridiculous charge. Also, the front desk wanted my husband to come to get toilet paper. That was not customer service. We should not have ran out of toilet paper...

"Our flight arrived late, we got there after 12am. Upon check in the staff was very rude. We went to our room which was not clean, food on the floor bugs crawling around. We asked for another room, the male worker said it was no other room. He proceeded to tell us we can leave, that’s exactly what we did. I contacted Expedia for a refund, the male that checked us in marked us as a no show. I have videos and pictures. "

"I had a great stay at Hyatt Place Newark, DE. The location is perfect—right on Main Street and an easy walk to everything, especially the nearby campus. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. The hotel itself was very clean, and the breakfast was a nice bonus with plenty of options to start the day. Parking was simple and convenient as well. Overall, a really comfortable and hassle-free stay—I’d definitely come back."
