"This was a most amazing part of our Peru holiday. We were so well looked after by William. Collection from thebairport by air condionrd mini bus to our first boat ride. Wow it was such a wondetful experience. All the trips out bird watching ,dolphin spotting, piranah fishing ....then eating. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and didnt want to leave. We loved meeting the Yagau and the Shaman, seeing the market The night walk was just as exciting ss you would expect. Those turtles ..amazing. remember to bring a torch. Hand held is fine. The food was fantastic. Delicious and abundant. We were so impressed by yje team making us lunch on our own to fit in with our flight But Willy was a font of knowledge, v accomodating of our requests. We loved our time on the river with Percy too. Highkight of my holiday and we did Macchu Picxhu esrly in the week !"

Hotel de Turistas Iquitos
10/10 Excellent
"Such a nice hotel and so needed after a stay in the Amazon. The staff was so helpful booking us transport and the rooftop bar was lovely. Good air conditioning too and vegan option at the restaurant! We had a great time. Super confortable beds too"

Victoria Regia Hotel
8/10 Good
"This is probably one of the better business-class hotels in Iquitos, from what I could see. It is not overly fancy, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. The staff is helpful and speak English. The attached restaurant serves delicious food."

"Unbelievable. I REALLY was not expecting any of what I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice, helpful receptionist, Flo. She quickly worked to get me to my room, which was more of an apartment than a room. When we walked in and I saw a sitting room with TV and then a kitchen, I assumed this was a shared area for multiple units. Then Flo said "no, this is all for you." She showed me to the separate bedroom which was nice and spacious with a large, clean bed and clean towels on top of it. I had a nice little private balcony and then a nice bathroom with a big surprise: Instant-On hot water, and I mean INSTANT. The bedroom had its own wall AC unit which was awesome because it was hot and muggy. The sitting room, too, had its own separate wall AC unit. As we walked back to the front door, I asked Flo if there was a way I could purchase bottled water somewhere and she proceeds to open the fridge which had water with and without gas as well as different sodas and beers. The place was perfect, very well-stocked, nice and clean, and incredibly well-priced all things considered. I told everyone on my trip as they selected the Doubletree and paid quadruple what I paid and simply because their past Iquitos experiences landed them in places that were more Hostel than Hotel. I cannot recommend this place enough."

Retazos Eco Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great little sanctuary within the city. The property is large with surrounding walls so it is quiet apart from birds and nature sounds despite being in the city. The room was so cute and ac worked very well. No hot water but you definitely don't need it in Iquitos. The breakfast was very good and served to your door - bread with jam, eggs, plantains, fresh juice, and coffee."

"Clean, modern with a beautiful pool."

Muyuna Lodge

"Lovely lodge, lovely staff, abundant wildlife"

CASA BLANCA HOTEL
10/10 Excellent
"So it’s not right next to central Iquitos, but that doesn’t matter. Central is a quick moto taxi ride for very cheap, or a 15-20 minute walk. What matters to me is how nice this place was. Iquitos is a rowdy town. It’s lively with a lot of hustle and bustle. This property is not: it is serene. I loved it so much, I ended up staying an extra night. It’s calm, relaxing, and downright beautiful. Right when you walk in, you are met with a beautiful courtyard that centers a gorgeous pool. There’s a small bar and restaurant, excursion services, and a 24 hour service concierge. My bed was comfy and the hotel is quiet and filled with beautiful flowers and trees and plants (yes inside the hotel). Will stay again 100%. Ps. The staff were all incredible. Such cool people!"
