Pacific Inn & Suites is a wonderful space to stay, and as a former local I have every intention of returning. Ignore any reviews from more than a year or so ago; I'm not sure when the new owners took over, but those reviews no longer apply.
As a solo/female traveler, the location and safety of the immediate area cannot be beat. Across the street are two wonderful LOCAL restaurants (Pacific Diner & Lighthouse Cafe - both amazing!), the beach is a 15-minute walk away, as is the Korean Friendship Bell, which offers a wonderful view of the sunset. The rooms are clean (just as pictured), offer great space and are comfortable w/ceiling fans to boot; absolutely no issues. I appreciated the larger fridge and microwave, as well as the free on-site parking and wi-fi.
Lastly, the staff is fantastic! Raj assisted me with my questions/request, and the others were friendly as well (i.e. acknowledging your presence when you/they walk by, offering to assist if they see you may need it, etc.).
