There are some areas where the wood at the lodge and around the property need some replacement but overall didn’t detract from a lovely setting . Watering hole for elephants is directly opposite the restaurant area so good for breakfast and lunch . Safari drives were good and Jayden did a great job for us . Would have been nice to have a transfer from local airport Skukuza included in the cost...

Being in a private concession also meant no crowds during our game drives. The food and service was impeccable! Every meal was meticulously prepared. "My husband and I stayed at the Kubu Lodge for 11 nights. The staff and owners, Nicole and Manfred, were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and kept clean. "We stayed at the cottage and it was absolutely stunning. Plenty of room. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The garden was amazing with our own outdoor fireplace. Even during loadshedding there was still light, water and wifi 😉. And every day we could play with the dogs. The food was really amazing. The chef makes delicious dishes. Host Annie is also the best, she knows what her guests like. You can ask her anything, nothing is impossible. We would definitely go back!"
