"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too soft for my liking and I found it uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a nice room. The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."

"Really cosy, friendly, good value hotel with great staff. Not the most modern room but had everything I needed: a fresh comfy bed, tv, kettle with tea & coffee & bathroom with bath. Bright restaurant with excellent menu at breakfast and dinner with good veggie and vegan options. I’d definitely stay again. "

"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"The hotel is lovely. The staff can’t do enough and are always busy working, it’s clean and well kept. There was a little welcome pack for my son with snacks, games and toiletries in a really cute little bag. Really enjoyed the stay."

"The manager was so helpful regarding an earlier check in …nothing was too much trouble.. very kind and felt he had a great customer care attitude.howeverI did feel that his colleague called liz was very rude towards him ..no engagement towards us or another couple she was rolling her eyes and had no interest ..one man show well done very appreciative for his help.room lovely great location"

"Undergoing renovations during my stay so have to reserve judgement a bit. Room was clean and comfortable and small things do matter. Hot chocolate and biscuits were a much appreciated extra that I wasn’t expecting. WiFi worked fine for me and breakfast was good. "
