Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf.

Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort.. UNIQUE being the operative word. This resort is by far one of a kind and it completely exceeded mine and my partners expectations. We spent quite a lot of time on our balcony with an amazing sea view. The room was great too, and the staff welcoming and friendly.

We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Loved everything about this Hotel. Staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a beach front double room which was absolutely beautiful. Tours to Stonetown and Spice Tour ( and others) can be booked from Hotel. Meals were amazing. Looked forward to the evening visit around 6pm of the Bush Babies and fed them bananas. The green flag idea was wonderful - as were the cocktails!

We visited The Island at Pongwe as the final stop on our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar and it was the perfect way to conclude an incredible trip. Wonderful relaxing resort set in beautiful gardens. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent food with much variety. Once a week there is a fantastic barbecue served along with a local band playing for everyone to learn some local dances. The bungalows are very most comfortable and very private. There is a wonderful jetty at the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset. Private dining is also available at the jetty or beach. Lovely hotel for couples especially honeymooners.

The owner was very helpful and was happy to spend time listening and then giving helpful advice. Always checking to see if everything was good. A very good host. Definitely recommend staying here. Clean and spotless.very friendly

We chose to stay here after reading many great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Great food, amazing views of the beach and the sea and the owners were really helpful and accommodating. The wifi and air con both worked well. Swimming at high tide at sunset was absolutely idyllic.

Incredible stay! The room was lovely and such a quiet and peaceful location, right on the beach. The best part was the staff, they went above and beyond at every opportunity to make our stay as special as possible. We will be back!

Excellent option, friendly and extremely helpful staff. The only observation is that I found there to be too many Indian food options for both lunch and dinner and I missed more grilled food.

Amazing resort, perfect for relaxing and the friendliest staff with the F&B team going above and beyond. We had a lovely private dinner on the beach on our last night which was a perfect end to an unbelievable stay. Highly recommended and will be back.

Small and classy property where you are a name not a number. Staff went out of their way to please and hotel prices for food and drink excellent. I travelled with two teenagers and location on a great beach with a water sports centre on site could not have been better

Very nice hotel, well maintained and clean. The breakfast choice was quite limited but you could order your choice of eggs. The A La Carte menu was fantastic, Lobster or crab pasta was delicious and a very big portion as well as very reasonable prices. The only downside is the location which is on the main road and not as easy access to the sea by walking.

Little sanctuary with direct beach access and sunrise facing pool. Beautiful spacious rooms with character. Staff are the best, super kind and accommodating. Thank you for checking me in late night and open reception for check out/bag drop early morning. Can highly recommend.
