"This was an experience like no other, an amazing location. These are eco-lodges, so they are basic, if you want 5* luxury this isn't for you, but you'd be missing out. The views are amazing, sitting on the balcony looking out to the lake in the distance. Everything is taken care of, you have torches and umbrellas. You are so far from anyone else it is lovely and quiet (apart from the wildlife!) We always had hot water from the solar panels. The bathroom was clean but basic. Food was great,...

"We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow for 4 nights. This bungalow is across town from the main hotel. The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and had lots of amenities. We were just a couple using the main bedroom, but there is a second room with 2 single beds so a family could stay here. The private pool, big porch and side garden were all for our use and beautiful. The view from up there does not get any better. We visited many places in Kandy, and this one had the best view. Very peaceful to relax by the pool and watch nature go by. Delicous Breakfast was made to order every morning on the porch so we got to watch the birds and monkeys go by. Bandana the butler and the Chef made the stay perfect and personalised for us, the curry dinner was the best meal we had in Kandy."

"Feel cheated by both the Expedia as have done booking for 4 and taken half course which is break fast and one meal where as the voucher shows only for 2 adults. The worst part is property manager knew that the voucher had written 2 but they didn’t inform us that the meals are there for 2 only and when we checked out raised a bill for meals of $140 whereas I paid $80 already for the same . Wasted almost an hour and later have to pay $100 extra . Really sad part, it’s not about money but the conduct."

"The room was clean but the design is a little off in the second bedroom bathroom. There is no separation between the shower and the toilet, so when you shower you inevitably wet the toilet paper… The staff were very accommodating - we had an early pick up to go to Ella, so they told us to go to restaurant 15 mins before their normal service hour to have breakfast. And they made our breaky very quickly so that we could be on time for our trip. One thing to note, the Google map way to get to the hotel is not right, as there is a road closure due to the cyclone in 2025. It is also a very narrow road up to this hotel which is on top of a hill. Our driver from Colombo struggled to find the way to get here and the direction the hotel gave may not mean much to drivers outside of Kandy. He had to ask local motorist to get us there."
