"The rooms are not soundproof and people were speaking very loudly in the passages and hallways in the middle of the night with no regard for other tired guests trying to sleep. Kids were running and stomping around in the hallways and up and down the stairs. I highly recommend a quiet policy from 22:00 to be implemented and soundproofing the rooms."

"Beautiful property, horrible location - near district 6. When we checked in we had a drink at the bar to wait for our room. One of the hotel managers (in a blue sport coat) came over and went on a 30 minute rant about how unsafe Capetown was - and how unsafe the area around the hotel was and that we shouldn't walk around after dark. "This hotel is absolutely stunning and easily one of the most beautiful places we had the chance to stay at during our trip to South Africa. The property and grounds are gorgeous, but what made our stay even more special was the staff, everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, attentive, and kind.
We were celebrating our honeymoon and were so thoughtfully treated to a room upgrade, a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates, and so many other lovely little touches throughout our stay. It truly made...
