"The staff at the hotel are great and the location can't be beat, right across the street from the beach. But the rooms do need updating and somehow we wound up with a smaller than usual room that had handicap access bathroom which was unnecessary for us. We also talked about how it was disappointing that the hotel didn't offer any kind of loyalty or Rewards since we've been coming down for several days each summer since at least 2009, and only missed a couple of Summers over these 17 years. Interestingly I did get an email after checkout with a discount code for a future stay but I'm not sure how long that stays valid. So that's a plus or at least a step in the right direction. The lobby is clean, housekeeping came into the room only one of the three days and didn't even vacuum or leave extra toilet paper, nor did they leave new bottles of water. They basically made the bed and emptied the trash, check away towels that were left on the floor to show that they had been used. So there's always something with the hotel that is disappointing but as already mentioned, the location is hard to be. They should do better though for the prices that they charge, especially on weekend nights."
