Stayed at the Cannery Row Inn in Monterey and overall I’d call it an average, middle-of-the-road experience.
The location is definitely the highlight. It’s within walking distance to Cannery Row, the aquarium, and a lot of restaurants, which made it really convenient for exploring the area without needing to drive much. Parking was also straightforward, which is always a plus in Monterey.
The room itself was decent but felt a bit dated. Everything was clean enough, but the furniture and overall setup could use some updating. The bed was comfortable, though, and the basics were covered.
Service was okay—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Check-in and check-out were smooth, just not especially welcoming or standout.
Noise can be a bit of an issue depending on where your room is located, and the overall property just feels a little worn compared to other options in the area.
Not a bad stay by any means, but for the price, I expected a bit more. It works if you’re mainly there for the location and just need a place to sleep, but there are probably better options nearby if you’re looking for something more updated or polished.
