The Front Desk manager treated my wife as a prostitute daring to ask for her cell number as he was leading her upstairs to our Suite! She only told me this lately, otherwise I would have confronted the person. With the high category of this hotel your staff should be reserved, respectful and protective of the high level clientelle. Such cheap behaviour by a member of your staff is degrading, offensif, out of place and betrays the trust we as clients place upon you! it is a pity that such otherwise beautiful premises are demolished by such missplaced acctions.

Well located hotel, three blocks from the beach, 20 minute taxi-ride from airport. Board bus to Independence Square (fare is less than 50 pesos apiece and driver gives change) literally across the street from the hotel; bus stop on return trip is a few blocks away. Spacious room and bathroom, amenities include in-room mini-fridge and safe, lovely balcony, fine Continental breakfast included. Staff very helpful. Good restaurant in the hotel, many more within a few blocks walking.

É muito bom, mas não faz juz à fama.

Viemos de Punta del Este, onde estivemos no Grand Hotel de Punta (e gostamos muito), e passamos uma noite no Belmont House. Encontramos funcionários educadíssimos e atenciosos, mas sem passar sensação de acolhimento. As solicitações foram atendidas com muita atenção e acerto. Os corredores do Hotel são belíssimos e impressionam. Nosso quarto necessitaria de melhor conservação. Detalhes como falta de maçaneta em uma gaveta da cômoda e tela da porta da varanda travada no trilho são incompatíveis com um Hotel que hospedou a realeza e muitos famosos.Condicionador de ar pouco eficaz. A comida no restaurante é boa, mas não emociona. Na próxima estada em Montevideo, iremos experimentar outra opção.

A localização excelente, limpeza deixou a desejar, ar condicionado não funcionou, quarto abafado, secador estragado, tomada da televisão não ligava. Café com poucos itens e não teve reposição. A garagem só tinha espaço para 4 carros, quando o hotel tem 28 apartamentos, ou seja muitos carros na rua. A decoração dos ambientes fora do quarto foi o que valeu a pena. A louça do café de estilo inglês. Esperava mais do hotel.
