"We arrived late, so the office was closed, but it was still easy to find our cabin and navigate the property. We opened our window and fell asleep to the sounds from the creek behind our cabin. In the morning, we watched the ducks in the pond while we drank our coffee on the deck. The bathrooms and washrooms were spacious and clean. I wish we could have stayed longer.

"Everything at this property is better than advertised. The bathhouse is extremely clean and new, the private fire pit was especially cozy, the creek was lovely, we saw many birds, there was more than a few outdoor games to play. It was exceptional, will be returning! Perfect stay! Thank you!!! The bed was really comfortable! The freshly ground coffee, wow!!! There were so many details that I really appreciated!!"

"The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again."

"Pictures and discription were not what we actually rented. Very small, no room for the luggage, shower very small and could hardly bend offer to clean. The kitchen would have worked had there been supplies for cooking. No toaster, no sheet pan, no strainer. The bed crambbed into a space were there is 18" to walk on bot sides. There is heat but no way to cool, no fan. There is a nice laundry on the property and the property is quite."
