This is a modern hotel in the middle of the NZ alps. Friendly and informative staff. Beautiful views from the hotel rooms. If you want to stay at Mt cook. This is your best option.

Amazing views and good selection of dining options. The room we had was in the original part of the hotel and located under the staircase which was not ideal as the stairs creek. Otherwise a great spot at the base of Mt Cook.

A look at NZ's biggest hill

Disappointing we had to wait for the room to be cleaned as their check in time is an hour later than anywhere else we have stayed, otherwise staff were friendly and helpful. Looking for the entrance to our accommodation block we could not find it at we thought it was the laundry/housekeeping area will trolleys of laundry at the entrance and in the hallway to the room. Food was excellent, room was neat and tidy, overall it was a pleasant stay.
