Perfect Base for Exploring Oman
Staying at Behlys Villa was the best decision I made for my trip to Oman. I had an early international flight and arrived at 930 am, exhausted. The housekeeper gave me some tea and quickly cleaned the room and let me check in early so I could get a quick rest before exploring Oman. The included breakfasts in the garden is simply lovely. I was cooked my own omlette and had nice fruit salad and breads. Over breakfast, Mic, the host, helped me arrange the perfect trip, and gave me many insider tips about the culture and places to visit that made it possible for me to do far more than I expected during my short stay. It was fun to talk with other travelers over breakfast- it was my first time in the Middle East and I was able to learn so much more than if I had stayed in a hotel. This was especially great as a female solo traveler and helped me feel very safe in the country. Mic went above and beyond to help, even on excursions I called him to be sure there would be time to go to a village and still catch my flight and he was happy to help. The villa itself is very nicely situated near a coffee shop and grocery store and it is very nicely decorated. Oman is a very interesting country and this was the perfect base for exploration!
