Lub d Manila Makati
8/10 Good
"The property is further away from the airport than I expected, but I did not understand the traffic, concerns and issues that Manila has with the extreme amount of congestion, but it was a place that I would return to and stay when I visit Manila to rest up before going down to San Pablo city. The staff was extremely helpful and responded to my queries very quickly and professionally the restaurant on the 13th floor. The food is very good and the view was very nice as well. The only issue that I would say would have is in the bathroom there is a little bit of black mold on the shower wall. Where’s a little cut out where you can put your toiletries but other than that the place is extremely clean and very well organized. The only thing I wish it had though would have been a place to store stuff like a small dresser or maybe a cubbyhole the only place there was anywhere to store was underneath the vanity The other issue that I think was difficult for me was when you leave the room and he remove your key card. The Aircon and the refrigerator goes off because all the power is connected to room. I wish there was a way to at least remove their free refrigerator from that disconnection because it never was not long enough to stay. Keep anything cold the air Cohen can deal with but not having cold beverages. I did not appreciate. Other than that, I would happily stay here again in the future"

Red Planet Makati Avenue Manila
10/10 Excellent
"I've stayed at several Red Planet properties, and Red Planet Makati Avenue provided the absolute best customer service I've experienced with the brand! Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were outstanding, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. The room was a little snug but clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. No insects, damaged mirrors, or other maintenance issues. I especially appreciated having a proper desk. The room featured a nice combination of older and newer Red Planet designs. A closet would have been appreciated, but their absence is common among budget hotels in the region. The shower was excellent, with plenty of hot water and strong pressure, even better than Red Planet Binondo! One elevator was out of service for most of my stay, but once repaired, everything worked wonderfully. The location is convenient, although Makati Avenue's lively nightlife atmosphere may not appeal to everyone. There are numerous 24-hour money changers nearby and even a church around the corner. Overall, an awesome experience! Clean accommodations, excellent facilities, and truly exceptional staff. My sincere thanks to everyone at Red Planet Makati Avenue!"

Dusit Thani Manila
8/10 Good
"First off, I previously reviewed this hotel but did not get the chance to talk about what I didn't like about this hotel. I thought Expedia's survey would have a box for likes and then one for dislikes, like other surveys, instead of one box for all; should have paid better attention. Anyway, the good: the location of this hotel is in a nice area of Metro Manila, in walking distance to a couple of Malls with money exchange options, one being the Greenbelt Mall, a bus depot, several massage places, one being a Thai Asian place about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel which was outstanding, a great breakfast, a variety of restaurants nearby, and friendly staff. The BAD: the check-in process was painfully slow, especially for travelers who have been traveling for hours; I mean it was inconvenient enough for me to reconsider staying at this hotel again! Management really needs to figure this issue out and find a more expedient, efficient process. I have stayed at lower end hotels in Pasay with a more efficient check-in process than the Dusit. And the advertised "free" parking is on a first come first serve basis, which they don't bother to mention until you leave the garage and return later to find the garage "full" and I reserved "4" rooms and only needed one parking space. They did allow us to use valet parking with no charge, but this inconvenience, due to some conference, was unacceptable! Therefore, I will likely seek other hotel options on my next trip."

The Peninsula Manila
10/10 Excellent
"Love staying at the Peninsula whenever I get a chance. Carries a lot of history."

Citadines Salcedo Makati
8/10 Good
"The staff was wonderful, the room was great, everything was good except the pool and gym were closed, we had to go to another hotel to swim, they informed us upon arrival that the other property had a pool. A lot of construction noise in the room next door. This is my 3rd time staying with them and I do recommend them, but just felt a little let down this stay"

Fairmont Makati
10/10 Excellent
"All staff were very helpful, friendly, kind and polite including Thomson, the night duty dog and Panther, the day guard dog. Jaja at the front desk is excellent. The room is very spacious and has everything we need. They provide drinking water every day."
