Wir hatten uns auf diese Unterkunft wegen der guten Bewertungen und der Hippos und Krokodile gefreut. Ich weiß tatsächlich nicht, woher diese guten Bewertungen kommen, wir haben keine guten Erfahrungen. Das Flußufer ist nicht zu erreichen, somit wären Hippos etc allenfalls von oben zu sehen. Allerdings waren keine Tiere da, laut Mitarbeiterin sind die längst weitergezogen. Wir hatten ein kleines Häuschen, das sehr dunkel war und zudem der Geruch darin kaum auszuhalten. Wir hatten am Abend dort gegessen, obwohl wir Sachen dabei hatten, aber es war einfach nicht schön, auf den staubigen, verspinnwebten Möbeln zu sitzen. Das Essen war allenfalls mittlere Qualität. Mir war in der Nach so übel, dass ich mich bis zum Morgen übergeben musste. Ob das nun an dem Essen oder an dem einfach abartigen Geruch lag, kann ich nicht sagen. Das Personal, das hier so hochgelobt wird, war zu unserer Zeit anscheinend nicht anwesend. Unser Fazit: garantiert nicht noch einmal!!!

Wir hatten über Silvester 2024 drei Übernachtungen gebucht! Bei der Ankunft war unsere Reservierung nicht im System! Man erklärte uns,die Lodge hat ab Januar 2025 einen neuen Besitzer und ist deswegen geschlossen! Der Manager bemühte sich,dass wir bleiben dürfen, was sehr nett war, da wir keine Ausweichmöglichkeit hatten!!! Die Lodge ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig! Der Garten ist toll angelegt und wird auch gepflegt! Die Hütten allerdings sind dunkel und nicht sehr ansprechend! Licht/Wände/Sanitäranlagen ... Es gibt viel zu tun!!! Im Speisesaal und in der Küche regnet es rein! Die Info der letzten Bewertung, dass Wlan in den Zimmern funktioniert, können wir NICHT bestätigen!!! Alles in allem sind 120,00 Euro pro Nacht mit Frühstück deutlich zu teuer!!! Da gibt es in Namibia allgemein und auch im Caprivi deutlich bessere und günstigere Alternativen!!!

In die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung ohne Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe mit nettem, bemühtem Koch ohne lokale Kücheneinflüsse - Pizza und griechischer Salat aber okay.

Très agréable hôtel pour le confort le cadre l'accueil des propriétaires qui n'hésitent pas à vous rendre service si nécessaire. Sans compter les hippopotames qui sont au Rv dès votre arrivée. MAGNIFIQUE Nous y reviendrons
