"It had been over 20 years since I’d been to Hotel Mead and literally nothing has changed. Could definitely use some updating. Wall paper peeling away. Stained up old furniture. Mattresses that have seen better days and bathrooms from 1982. Served its purpose tho. The pool itself seemed well maintained and breakfast was ok (even if it was a bit cold). Bring your house shoes if you decide to stay!"

"We picked this place because we wanted to try the water jet tub. But that was not as good as I would have liked. When we got to the room it really smelt bad it made me want to toss my cookies, there were a handful of things, that did not sit right with me but my husband sad it's not that bad .1. garlic smell from the other guest that had the room, so we checked the filters on the air conditioner and found that the filter was so dirty. It was holding in the smell from the garlic, so we took and CLEAN off both filters got an air freshener, from Walmart put that in and it took care of the smell for most part. The fan in bathroom we did not touch but it needs help. 2.The refrigerator, the freeze needed to be defrosted there was at least 2" of built-up ice . 3. The drain in the bathroom tub did not want to drain out the water. When we went to eat downstairs the food was cold and no one was manning the food out of all the tables there was only 2 that where clean to eat off of. Not very good. Next morning we skipped the breakfast and just checked out. Rate the place 1 or 2 I told my husband on Tuesday when we got the room that we need to get a different one or go home."

"Was clean, nice room and bedding. Amenities were slim. Just refridge and small microwave. No coffee maker. Long plumbing feed from hot water heater to secondary building meant it took a while to get hot water in the shower, but was fine when it came. Small size TV, but did have a full gamut of Spectrum cable TV service, which is rather uncommon in hotels and very welcomed. We were able to watch the Brewers game and Golf channel, which is not normally possible in a lot of hotels. Convenient location to Lake Arrowhead and Sand Valley golf (16 minute drive straight up HWY 13). If you just want something basic for a good nights sleep (was very quiet) and don't want to pay a lot of money for amenities, this is the best fit and closest lodging to the golf courses for under $100."
