"Very clean and neat.
But there were no amenities. Breakfast was lean. The orange juice was extremely watered down. The coffee tasted burnt.
Lighting in the room was inadequate. No hook to hang cloths. Empty closet in a dark room. No free shampoo or conditioner. No coffee offered after breakfast hours.
This was as barebones as you can get.
The desk clerks were awesome. The cleaning staff was friendly and efficient.
The owners seemed aloof and not friendly."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Crawfordsville by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I was very impress with this hotel. The entire hotel was very very clean. Pool facilities very good.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I dropped my checkbook and didn't know. They went to extraordinary lengths to return my checkbook to me.
This will be a place we will always stay when in Crawfordsville.
Kudos to them all."
"I booked the room for my husband & son who were going to the zoo Tues. morning. The car broke down, stranding them on the road. I contacted the hotel to see if we could get our fee waived due to circumstance (can provide proof of breakdown). They said only Expedia could waive fee. Expedia said it was up to hotel & they spoke to hotel & said I'd get an email. So far, the only email from Hampton is this. "How was your stay?"
Well, I really DIDN'T enjoy paying over a hundred and eighty five dollars for my family to NOT stay there, thank you very much."
"I've stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions recently and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. After one stay, I had left a cap in the room and the front desk called me before I left the parking lot to tell me I'd left a cap in the room. I consider that outstanding service! "
"Excellent overall. Walking distance to the college and Lew Wallace study. Lots of history on the property alone to explore. Street parking only. My only complaint is that the windows are single pane glass and allow in a fair amount of ambient nose. "
"Nice place with a very historic feel. Coffee situation coukd have been better and maybe a mini fridge in the room. Other than that it was clean, and comfortable."
