The balcony onsen was extremely private and comfortable. Would highly recommend that this be your number one choice of hotel if you are in Shimoda."

"Mixed feelings on this guest house - it was lovely decorated and recently renovated by the owner, who was lovely and super friendly & helpful. Had offered affordable breakfast (500 yen/ person in May 2025) and plenty of shared area spaces - with ability to use glasses / cups / kettle / microwave. Unfortunately I didn’t see during booking that toilet and bathroom are shared for all guests (4-6 rooms, not sure exactly) but luckily we went to bed early and wake up late, so avoided the natural...
