"We had a 3 night stay in June. Overall, it’s a very good hotel, in a great location, an easy walk to the beach and the town centre, with good car access to other WW2 beaches and monuments along the coast. Friendly helpful staff and lovely grounds and large outdoor seating area for bar drinks. Easy parking on site. We were disappointed with our room, which was poorly designed, and a quite dark because we did not have a window in the main room, but a glazed door to a small shady patio. The en-suite was very spacious, well equipped and had a big window. Patio overlooked an overgrown area of orchard behind the hotel (Room 16)."
"Great accommodations for our large family (2 separate units nearby each other). The check-in process was a bit challenging as we had some communication issues about us having two separate units reserved. (They only provided one initially.) This appears to be largely used as a time-share facility for senior citizens, but it worked very well for our large, young family."
"Would have given everything five stars as the staff and location were fantastic. Unfortunately we went before the main season started so the rooms were still being touched up. However the staff and room were great. Location ideal for exploring all the beaches. Great stay."
"Our quick visit to Hôtel de la Plage was wonderful. Despite a much later first night arrival, the staff kept in constant communication with us for check-in and had keys and information waiting. The restaurant was closed, but they put together a last-minute charcuterie board and some drinks for us. Clean rooms, great beds, central location, wonderful food and not enough can be said about the staff. Always welcoming, always smiling, just fantastic and charming. Easily would stay here again, hopefully sooner than later. Merci!"
"Perfectly situated for a ferry arrival and easy to find. Lovely welcome from the owner and friendly staff. Good parking facilities. Comfy room and bed. Great views from the dining room and a pretty garden to sit and relax in."
"Ideal stop over en route to or from the ferry at Caen, an easy 5 minute drive away. Rooms are quite spacious but minimal, no tea and coffee making facilities, no reception on after about 9pm so entry is automated which works but feels rather impersonal. Staff are friendly when on duty, breakfast includes hot and cold foods and there are several EV chargers in the ample, private car park."
