"I am very disappointed with this hotel and how hotels.com handled our situation. while we were there for three nights the staff was very rude especially the morning we were checking out. I simply asked if I could have a breakfast refunded because we were leaving at 5:45 AM and he laughed and said no. I then started to tell him that the stay was horrible and the room was dirty the walls were dirty the bathroom was not clean. We had people coming in and cleaning the room and left there dirty blue rubber gloves on the counter. The only cleaning they did was coming in and folding the blankets on the bed. No one refreshed the towels I had to go to the front desk and ask for new towels. A fan was broke in the room and I ask if I could get a replacement because there was no air conditioning in the room and the front desk attendant argued with me before giving me a new fan. There is no air conditioning by the way. This was horrible. At check out this morning I tried to tell my concerns to the front desk guy and he just keep telling me he did not care. This was a horrible experience for my family and I visiting a country we have never been too before. And to top it all off hotels.com didn’t even care to help us when I contacted them about what was going on they simply told me I would have to work it out with the hotel management."
"For the price, you’d expect something special. There was no VIP upgrade. The room was ordinary. ‘Historic building’ was not evident in my Executive room. A good restaurant (20% discount) said the blurb. But it was a stock standard steakhouse. Nothing Dutch at all. Even the person at the door spoke no Dutch — do you speak English were his first words. It could be anywhere in the world and at half the price would be quite OK."
"Stayed three nights in May 2026.
Hotel was in perfect location only minutes from the railway station, the hotel bedroom
(407 ) Was very clean and spacious
The hotel was spotless throughout
with lovely decor, the food was gorgeous
and all the hotel staff was so friendly and helpful from the time I booked into the hotel and when I left. The management should be proud of there staff.Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.Keith Jones."
"Older hotels but very nice location. Rated cleanliness, location, well-maintained, etc., accordingly. Check-in process had some miscommunication, but overall, a great hotel."
"Not great!! I booked a room at the Eden Hotel because I thought it was old and charming, and when I arrived, my room was in the NYX Hotel, which was not at all charming. Very confusing and disorienting to go up and down hallways and stairs through 2 different hotels, and try to figure out which entrance your cab will be at. We asked for clean towels on two occasions and even offered to carry them up ourselves from reception, but were told they would deliver them to our room for us. No towels ever showed up, and we were forced to use wet damp towels for 2 days (we had water on the floor in the bathroom from something leaking every day) so always damp towels! Hotel location was OK, but that’s about all I can say was a positive for the hotel. The hotel was under construction, which I did not know when I booked it, so maybe that is why there was so much chaos about the accommodations. Would not stay there again."
"When I arrived I was assigned a room that had not yet been serviced but it was a mix up that the management quickly fixed. They sent me to a new cleaned room right away and they offered us breakfast for the inconvenience. I would stay here again because I feel their staff is very customer service oriented and deals with small mix ups quickly. We also took an evening boat tour and the hotel was very close to the pick up location so that was very nice. They even had an outlet that was compatible with US power plugs which was pretty nice. Recommend staying here, if you are American you will be very comfortable ."
