"Great location for Bamburgh, Holy Island and Alnwick. Great view from our room too and got to watch the Housemartins fly. Friendly staff and great food for breakfast and if tou fancy dinner too. Just a shame there was no pressure for the shower and no plugs by the bed!"

"The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation was comfortable. There is a danger in the bathroom - the inside of the bath has only minimal anti-slip: it doesn’t extend the full length of the bath. I could only climb out of the shower with help ..."

"Oldy-worldy charm in a converted attic, complete with a copper tub (separate from the bathroom). The only (minor) downside is the narrow, steep staircase to two of the rooms which might be troublesome for some people. Excellent 5-star breakfast."
