The worst thing was the location, prostitutes working the block outside and smashed windows on cars parked in the parking lot and around the street, and loud music until 3am, made us feel uncomfortable!! But the service was excellent, property felt secure, and it was a nice room for the money with a decent location.

Good for short stays.

I stay here often. It’s a little Roudy on the weekends. Noise from the street. But most of the time it’s quite and no issues. Room are clean and bed is comfortable. Ac have a fan only mode, drowns out the outside noise at night.

For budget prices, I expect a budget hotel, and this place delivered quality for the price I paid. The location is sketchy and felt somewhat unsafe; the alley behind the hotel is filled with trash and debris. However the hotel room itself had plenty of space and basic amenities that met all needs for a single night stay. The bed was quite comfortable, though the pillows were hard and flat (glad I brought my own from home). The room's cleanliness was up to standard. I appreciated the in-room microwave and refrigerator. Value for dollar, Continental Lodge wins, in spite of its location.

This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay in an area of Oakland that may not be the most savory. The staff was very nice and we felt safe in the room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was immaculate.

Excellent for price

Overall great stay. It’s slightly outside of Chinatown. And about 15 minutes from UCB. The rooms were surprisingly updated. It was clean and had lots of outlets and good lighting and AC. Wifi was strong. The only downside is parking is slightly tight, but there were always enough spaces for everyone. We usually stay here when visiting our relative at Berkeley.
