Da Vinci's Hotel Derry
10/10 Excellent
"Welcoming staff in all areas. Room was excellent and for the price, great value."

Belmore Court & Motel
10/10 Excellent
"I don't think I've ever experienced such friendly and helpful staff. It wasn't that everyone was going out of their way to be friendly, it was that they just were... it came naturally and easily. If we were looking for a recommendation for anything in the area, not a problem. It was given with a smile. The breakfast was also second-to-none. The best breakfast I've had at a hotel in a long time. And, again, the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. When we checked in to the hotel we were asked if we had any dietary requirements such as being vegetarian. Usually I don't mention it because breakfasts tend to be the easiest meals to navigate if you are. This time, because I was asked, I said that I was vegetarian. And the next morning at breakfast, I was advised that there were vegetarian sausages in the oven for me (and they came along with cooked tomato, I suspect to replace the bacon). I would stay here again without hesitation. I only wish more hotels were this good."

Manor House Country Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. From checkin right through to checkout. We were upgraded to an executive room. Fabulous. The weather was brilliant so we enjoyed our drinks outside in the sun. Dinner was fabulous as was breakfast. We went home stuffed!!!! Spent a little time in the Spa, but wanted to enjoy more of the grounds in the sun. Certainly recommend the hotel and will definately return. Many thanks for a wonderful break. X"

City Hotel Derry

Roe Valley Resort
8/10 Good
"We stayed at Roe Valley Resort for a weekend with our 3 and 4-year-old children and overall were very impressed. Our family suite was extremely spacious and gave us plenty of room to relax. While some areas of the hotel are currently undergoing maintenance, the hotel itself is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The facilities for children were excellent and our girls absolutely loved their stay. The pool was a particular highlight, especially as the shallow area was suitable for our 4-year-old to comfortably stand in. There were lots of activities available for families, which made for a great weekend away. The main disappointment was dining. It seems essential to book restaurants well in advance. We managed to get a late dinner slot on Friday evening after arriving, but were unable to get a table in the hotel on Saturday night. We ended up ordering room service, which arrived more like a takeaway than hotel dining, served in disposable packaging rather than on plates. We were also disappointed that the children's water jet ski activity was completely sold out, and the pool waterslide closed intermittently whenever the lifeguard took breaks. Despite these issues, we had a very enjoyable stay and the children had a fantastic time. With a little more capacity around dining and activities, the experience would have been even better."
