"New hotel in Piacenza has excellent staff and clean/well appointed rooms. I few things that I noticed that have room for improvement. To enter the hotel requires a flight of stairs - which is cumbersome with luggage. I'm certain that a smoother entry could have been included in the major renovation that they completed to turn a civil building into a hotel. Also, the breakfast while welcome is poorly staffed. One person to check people in, clean up, stock food, and generally keep things in order. When I arrived multiple items were absent from the buffet and the poor girl running it seemed as if she was on the verge of tears. There needs to be another person to clear tables and deliver food. Lastly, and I guess I am an outlier here - but I find it dangerous to have the name of the hotel, the room number, and the code on a slip of paper. If the paper is misplace, or even just viewed by another person, they have full access to your room. I took a photo and destroyed the paper but it feels like a very peculiar way to keep guests safe. I would still recommend the property. It's easy to find, has free parking and the staff was lovely. "

"The staff were all 15/10. I spent 8 nights there with a collegue for work. Each shift was attentive, kind, and professional. They all are doing wonderful jobs. No complaints on the rooms or the bathrooms. Great overall experience and value. "

"Perfect place to spend some days in Crema! In the heart of the historic district, very closed to restaurant but quiet and calm neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay here. Special mention for the host Valeria, she is amazing, she’s incredibly kind and friendly. THANK YOU SO MUCH! The suite is huge, spacious, luminous, well decorated with elegant classic furniture. We appreciated the amenities like fridge, kettle, coffee machine. Comfortable king size bed. Big shower and free toiletries. Extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious, served every morning in the room. We will come back again for sure! Really recommended! "

"Wha a gem and a wonderful surprise. This hotel is part of a castle that is part of a small medieval town. Loved it and would go back. Though small in terms of rooms, the property has a simple but wonderful bistro on site."

"One of The rooms had a lot of mold spots in the shower ceiling and some other in the room hallway. The other room was missing part of the ceiling. The room card worked only the first time entry, for the other time we entered the room, the front desk gentleman had to walk to the room and open it with a key because he tried two times to configure the card again and did not work. The location was convenient from the highway, the breakfast was good, the bed and pillows were good, but unfortunately the experience was terrible because the mold was a health concern and it was a big area, not some spots. Also if you are remodeling the hotel you should provide the guest a complete room and work on others, we should not stayed in a room without ceiling, without shower doors. "

"Friendly staff. Suite was big and nice and clean. Well located in Crema with train station and city centre within 10 minute walk. Continental breakfast selection which was tasty. Bicycle paths everywhere in Crema including straight from the hotel. Bed was large, comforable with a selection of pillows and cushions. Lots of cupboard space for clothing. Really liked my stay here. Recommended A++"

"Our room (Chicago) was a spacious, clean, and welcoming suite, overlooking the streets of Crema and facing a church (note: bells begin around 7am). The decor blends modern comfort with traditional Italian charm, highlighted by wooden beams and doors opening to a picturesque view. Do take care with rugs on wooden floors, as they can slip easily. Breakfast, delivered to the room, was excellent—a generous spread of fresh fruit, bread, croissants, jams, juices, tea, and coffee. B&B San Clemente is perfectly located in the heart of Crema, just steps from shops, restaurants, and historic landmarks. Fans of Call Me By Your Name will enjoy nearby filming locations, and the train station is only a 15-minute walk. Be aware: Access can be tricky if you arrive unannounced. Confirm your arrival time as instructed in your booking, as we still waited outside about 15 minutes despite doing so. Unlike hotels, you cannot simply walk in. Once checked in, the host was warm and welcoming. We were also given a different check-out time than listed on our Hotels.com confirmation. Overall, despite a couple of small points to improve, our stay was delightful. San Clemente is an excellent base for exploring Crema and a highly recommended choice. "
