"I really liked this hotel. We got a great room with a view of the water and it was on the corner, so we had windows on two sides. The location is great -- just a few minutes' walk away from the old parts of town and even walking distance from the train station. The only downsides we experienced were that the room is a bit dark (this seems to be a common hotel theme), and there was a strike while we were there, so some of the stuff was closed. But the hotel workers deserve to make a living wage, so I hope they were successful."

"This is a hostel. A computer checked me in and I was only given a loose key card without a holder. My room number just flashed on the screen. I had to go through a long drawn out process to get my room number again because I forgot it by the time I got upstairs. My room was tidy but it didn't have a TV and was tiny and the water smelled like eggs so I didnt shower. I only saw staff in passing but didn't engage with them only the machines for check in and check out. I wouldn't recommend this place."

"This hotel is very well located right next to the Bergenhus Fortress and across from the wharf. Everything is within a very short distance and easily walkable. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The breakfast is plentiful with lots of options. Most importantly, the staff is very informed, welcoming and helpful. Mathallen is also within walking distance and we personally favored Fish Me over Fjellskal."
