What an amazing place, with a magnificent view. Friendly and welcoming personnel. Breakfast was very good and served in the room - bread still warm. This is highly recommended.

The location is amazing with spectacular views down the river. So peaceful and quiet. The room was very clean and the attention to detail was great. Breakfast was served in the room and was a real treat. Service was friendly. A couple of minor things that it is worth knowing about if you visit. Hotels.com still say they take credit cards but they do not. Parking is off street. It's safe and plenty of it but it is not on site and a short walk up a hill. Don't let it put you off - great place to...

Rooms are spacious, with lovely balconies and views. The pool is great with lots of space. The restaurant on site is fantastic; wonderful food and very reasonably priced.

Stayed at the Douro Castle Signature Hotel for 4 great nights. The Hotel is a lovely small boutique type style Hotel, right on the Castle wall and in the centre of Lamego. Very walkable to all sights and restaurants, bars and shops!! Lamego is right in the middle of the Douro and snnidesl base to see Pinhao, Peso de Ragua and others. There are over 45 Quintas within 15 miles of Lamego. River cruises from 1 hour to 1 / 3 and 5 / 7 days. Only 80 mins from Porto and very close to many other...

We had a lovely stay here. The setting was beautiful and the facilities were really good. The staff are really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. We had a couple of drinks on the veranda with snacks and then a very nice meal in the restaurant along with a good breakfast the next morning. The room was also very good with great views of the lake. All in all a great stay and we would definitely use this hotel again.

amazing facilities including free spa in an area that has seen better days but is hoping for regeneration from new thermal baths. not easiest to get to but pinhao less than an hour away

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 7-night stay at D’autor Village, and we genuinely couldn’t have been happier. What a beautiful place! From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious, peaceful and exactly what a holiday should be. The villa was absolutely spotless, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept so well! The pool area felt like a spa, very relaxing, yet the children were still able...

Great staff, beautiful hotel with a stunning view. Only cons is the restaurant, the food is ok without being exceptional however it is largely overpriced compared to other restaurants in the surroundings.

Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It is a tranquil, modern, beautifully designed and decorated 5 room Quinta with fantastic views over the valley. Our room was lovely with a large and extremely comfortable bed, walk in shower and a good sized balcony overlooking the pool area and the valley. The pool area was great with lots of options of comfy sun loungers, chairs and tables, plenty of room for all guests. We ate in each night where a different fixed menu is served each evening, often using...

Breakfast was delicious

Lovely room, excellent food and attentive staff! Great place to stay!

Excellent

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and set in the most amazing valley and vineyard. The Chapel is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and the pool is a good size. The facilities are great. Transfer to and from Rede Station included, but not from Régua. The restaurant is not very good at all - the vegetarian rice dish was very bland and the food poorly seasoned, but the wine was fantastic. It was also great value.

This was a value for money choice. It was very nice, spacious, clean and provided everything one could want except for people who one could put questions to. However I did not need this as everything was clear in the instructions. By saving on staffing one can keep attractive prices. Breakfast was at a nearby bakery, supposedly the best in town. This bakery provided nice breakfasts and staff were nice and helpful and accepted the voucher from the hotel without questions.
