Firstly, this hotel lies on its website. The water is not from Blenheim Palace it is ice Valley from Tesco. The furniture in the room is not mango wood it is chipboard. There was no powerful mixer shower but a fine mist coming out of a plastic showerhead. The room we ended up with looked nothing like the pictures and more like the Travelodge from 1980. We were not impressed at all as the bed wasn’t long enough. There was an iron mark that had melted the carpet, a simple rug would’ve covered this. The lampshades were very dated and extremely dusty. The back of the TV was absolutely filthy. The bathroom was over overall modern however the windowsill needed a paint and so did the radiator as the bottom of it was rusty. The breakfast tasted fine however as soon as we had put our knives and forks down, we were told the buffet was closing and to quickly grab anything else we wanted. We returned to take a few more items at which point it was literally being removed in front of our eyes. I don’t feel this is representative of good customer service. We were not late to breakfast either by the way so being rushed and everything cleared away in front of us was terrible. I am not sure how this place can be called a boutique hotel, four star as I am feeling like I must’ve stayed somewhere else! Would I recommend it? Absolutely not!
