"overall i do like the hotel and the staff bends over backwards to help guests but i am not a fan of the rooftop resto bar. it is, in fact, a restaurant masquerading as a resto bar. upon arrival the greeters makes one feel (my experience on two occasions) as though they are being put out when you show up and state that you simply want to have a drink and take in the views. there is no bar area to speak of and even if you do manage to sit in the small designated bar space, be prepared for the stools to disappear at any moment (my experience on one occasion) for no apparent reason. staff are cordial but clearly focused on getting drinks prepared for table orders, so prepared to be an afterthought. furthermore, there is no standing or mingling area. in summary, it is designed and operated as a place for dinner/drinks but not for casual socializing and mingling. any claims to the contrary the hotel might make, are, simply not true."
