While the lack of parking was initially a problem, I took a walk and found parking a short distance away. The train station was a short walk and it was easy to catch a train into Milan then switch to the urban, underground subway system.
Though the hotel says it has air conditioning, and with the humidity and my asthma, I needed it, there was a problem. The woman who checked us in turned it on—blessed cool air. We returned from dinner, it was off. New guy on the front desk, I explained why it was essential. He turned it on. It went off at 1 am and I wasn’t about to go from the next-door annex to the hotel front desk in my nightgown. We suffered through that first night and gave up, opening the windows after that to a very busy and noisy street, letting in the humidity to the negative impact on my breathing. Luckily the mosquitoes didn’t show up until we were packing up the last morning to leave. ☹️
