Friendly staff who despite our poor efforts at speaking French made every effort not to make us feel awkward. Our only criticism, and it is a minor issue, is that there was no English type tea! "A well converted / preserved townhouse in Lisieux. The bonus for us was secure parking. Restaurant and bar closed on Monday (our visit) but the nearby Brit Hotel was a good alternative. Walk across a local manicured park or down a side street to the cathedral but I noticed all the tourist info. for Lisieux mentioned going elsewhere after seeing the cathedral. Relatively friendly town and a really nice quiet place to stay for the traveller. "
