"Comfort Inn in Mount Airy is an excellent hotel!
The staff was outstanding-so accommodating!
The room was spotless! Great parking!
We will return soon! And loved the lemon water offered in the afternoon."
"Hotel retains its charm and perfect downtown location. Years into the hotel's life, there's still no sign up front directing traffic to the upper (main ) parking lot, and poor signage in that lot to get folks to the sidewalk leading to the hotel. (the front desk didn't even mention their unusual parking arrangement). I also wish they would have plastic drinking glasses in the bathroom. I broke a glass one. (I was clumsy at times, but so are other guests. The risks exceed the benefits.)"
"We were on the 4th floor, couldn’t sleep at night, sounded like reindeer dancing on the roof. Also, we never left before 11, so we should have had plenty of water, it’s barely a trickle and took 5 mins to get warm!"
"This was by far one of the worst places I have stayed jn a very long time! If I hadn't been so tired from a 30hr day including a 9hr drive, I would have left to find something better. The door frame was swollen and damaged due to weather and age that the door had to be forced shut and to open it, you had to meditate like Goko to go super to rip it open. The room had a disgusting smell to it. The bed was filthy with dirt, crumbs, and hair top and bottom within the sheets/blanket/pillows. The bed was also mosit. I went to my truck to pull out camping/travel gear to make a bed ontop of it all. I had to pull air fresheners from the car to lay around me in bed in order to tolerate then scent of the bed. The mini fridge didnt work, AC worked but it did take 3hrs to cool the room down. The bathroom appeared decently clean but smelled of bio. That comes down to plumbing outdated. There was mold in the coffee pot from it not being cleaned from last tenant and lastly, killed a roach in the morning. Where there is 1, there is many more. So before I packed to leave, I inspected everything of mine to ensure no bugs, no eggs, no bs hitching a ride to my clean home! I brought these issues up in the morning and asked for a half refund as I did sleep there (reasonable) the owner half asleep shut the door in my face. Soo, sray at your own risk"
