Everything I could ask for in a hotel, as a travelling foreigner on vacation in the USA and Philadelphia for the first time. Excellent location and helpful concierge service and I liked that the lobby and floors were above street level, only allowing those with keycards to enter at night.
One of the few issues was that while the concierge was helpful, the concierge that checked me in perhaps forgot to tell me that the sink in my Kitchenette had a filtered water dispenser along with the standard faucet, something I really would have like to have known before I spent in inordinate amount of money on the first few days of my stay on upscale bottled water for my room, thinking there was no other option for drinking water, as I only found out after later of the existence of said filtered water dispenser by chance, after overhearing another guest checking in being informed of it. I would at least liked to have known that was an option.
The only other issue, was once on the night I checked in. Expecting to check in during the afternoon, numerous delays on the flight over meant that I checked in after 10 pm and therefore had to have dinner in the hotel. And despite making sure I ordered food from the hotel kitchen an hour before the closing time of 11 pm, I didn’t get anything until 11:30 pm. Fortunately, the Mexican style Cobb Salad and Cheesesteak empanadas were, at least for me, good enough to almost make up for such a long wait.
