"Quiet place tucked away in the woods just outside of Marlinton. Pretty property. Breakfast is self-serve continental. Basic, nothing fancy. Good wifi and nice to have TV with a couple of free streaming services already set up. Musty smell in the common areas despite running fans and AC. Not much can be done about that though. Just the way it is in this area. You probably won’t see the innkeepers as they are off property and have key lock access codes when checking in."

"Manager did our small group a favor & prepared a sandwich, vegetables, & pie dessert for us. We stayed in the "Nautical Room," which had an assortment of nautical decor. The library in the place was enormous, with satellite bookcases throughout. Breakfast included eggs & bacon, with a nice assortment of cold dishes."

"There was quite a bit of hair in the tub around the drain when we first checked in. It was kind of icky to see that. The room itself was nice though. I'd go back when I want to visit Snowshoe, WV or the surrounding area. The property is right in the middle of the village, which is nice. Close to restaurants and shops."
