"All I can say is run to this Quinta! This was the highlight of our trip, by far. The staff was exceptional; as is the property which was very clean. We stayed at the outer building and had a pool all to ourselves, along with a lemon tree & breathtaking views.
The restaurant on the property was great and the breakfast was just right, offering plenty of fresh options. The wait staff was friendly and professional, offering great wine paring options for every course of every meal.

"The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too!
Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun!

"When planning our walk on the Rota Vicentina, we weren't sure the extra distance to reach Quinta Chocalhino (Cowbell Farm!) from Odemira would be worth it but it was and Teresa made sure we didn't have to walk any farther than Odemira.
