"Stayed one night at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel while in town for my daughter's lacrosse tournament, and overall had a very good experience.
The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character, as it's housed in the historic former Masonic Temple. The architecture and common areas really stand out and give the property a unique feel.
Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The only issue we had was that our toilet didn't flush very well, but otherwise the stay was smooth.
We also had dinner and breakfast at Public Kitchen & Bar, located inside the hotel. The food was good—above average—but not necessarily memorable. It was convenient and a solid option if you're staying at the property.
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I were back in Providence or in Rhode Island for another tournament or weekend trip."
